Level Two

Level II Infrared Thermography Training — for practising Level I thermographers seeking more advanced training.

Students must have successfully completed a Level I Thermography Training Course and have a minimum of six months of field thermography experience. Attendees completing Level II course requirements and a thermography field assignment receive an ITC Level II Thermography Certification.

Course benefits: reinforce Level I concepts with refresher material covering the latest cameras, technology and thermal-imaging applications; review common misconceptions and misapplications of infrared thermography; expand your knowledge with more in-depth concepts in infrared theory, heat transfer and spatial resolution.

You'll learn the basics of predictive-maintenance thermography and overall infrared inspection-program development, including calculating avoided costs with the Excel-based application software provided. Refine your image analysis and interpretation proficiency with in-depth survey and measurement techniques, learn to measure the emissivity of common materials, and see the latest in inspection-report generation and IR inspection-database trending software.
