Process Control

Cement, steel, aluminium and alloys — direct XRF/XRD analysis of raw materials, intermediates and finished products.

In cement production, the chemical and mineralogical composition of raw materials as well as intermediate and finished products has to be determined to control and optimise the process and to guarantee constant, high product quality.

Iron, steel, aluminium and alloys — including raw materials from quarries, additives, all steps of the production process, the intermediate products and the final products — are directly analysed by XRF and XRD solutions. Additional application is found in the analysis of used oil for burning: strict environmental controls add a particular burden to industrial sites, and XRF can deliver rapid, accurate data to ensure specifications are reached.

Robust industrialised systems with standardless and pre-calibrated solutions, combined with software for easy, safe, reliable and intuitive operation, offer a perfect fit with the needs of industry. In addition to laboratory-based analysis, recent innovations have delivered truly robust, accurate and remote-control solutions for on-line XRF analysis at mine-site conveyer systems as well as in industrial coatings plants.
